What are your typical rates?

Rates can vary depending on type of project and length of time. Typically, my rates are $300 for a half day or $500 for a full day, not including materials. However, these rates do not include TV wall mounts. If you’d like to include a TV mount as part of your list, let me know and I can give you an custom estimate.

Can you help me with electrical or plumbing?

In North Carolina you are required to have a license to install, maintain, or repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Unfortunately I am not licensed to perform these tasks, but I will do my best to connect you with someone who can.

How soon can you help?

I can usually help within a week or two. However this depends on several factors including the time of year and current schedule availability. I will do my best to get to you as quickly as possible.

What local areas do you serve?

I serve all of the immediate areas around Asheville, including the surrounding counties in Western North Carolina (WNC). If you are an hour or more outside of Asheville, then rates will increase to accommodate additional travel expenses.

What payment methods do you accept? Do you take credit cards or offer payment plans?

I accept cash, check, Venmo, and all major credit/debit cards. I do not offer payment plans. Payment is due in full upon completion of service.

Are you insured?

I am insured and am happy to share a copy of my Proof of Insurance if you’d like.

Is it possible to set up some kind of subscription service for home and property check-ups while I’m away?

Certainly. WNC is a place for many second homes for people that can’t maintain their property year round. Rates depend on how often you would like for me to go by your home and check on things. Common requests include visual inspections that things seem normal on your property exterior and checks to ensure that things are continuing to operate as usual.

It seems like every handyman I call either doesn’t call back, doesn’t show up, or shows up late. What can I expect from you?

I am sorry that has been your experience. Often I won’t answer my phone while I am working for other customers because I want them to get all the value they are paying for. I follow up on voicemails, missed calls, and emails at the end of each day, which is when you can expect to hear back from me. I will show up where and when we’ve agreed, barring any emergency. Either way you will get clear, direct communication from me.
